Quotes "When you can, take time to appreciate a sunrise. It means tomorrow is here."

Carlos Moreau was a story and screen writer and the patriarch of the Moreau family. He was a Plus Ultra member, but it is unknown when or how he became one. In his later years, he lived with his granddaughter Amelia and daughter Tanya, at their home in Providence, Rhode Island, in a small apartment above the garage.

When he was young, Carlos worked on a boardwalk. Carlos' works mostly involved the future in some form. In the 1950s, he sold the rights to one of his short stories to Walt Disney Productions, "Orbit's Story." During the same period, he also wrote a small screenplay called "What Tomorrow Hides", a third draft of which was written by July 3, 1958.

In the 1960s, he joined Walt Disney's "Special Projects Team" for the 1964 New York World's Fair. Members of this team included people such as Bob Gurr and M.T. Lott. As part of the "Special Projects Team", he wrote alternate scripts for VIPs to listen to while visiting Disney attractions at the Fair, which later became the basis for the LPs "Just A Dream Away Volume 1 of 2" and "Volume 2 of 2".

When he wasn't writing, Carlos liked to spend time with his family and tell stories to his children and grandchildren. One of these stories involved a girl named Tamara and her adventures in futuristic dream world with dinosaurs and robots. When he was writing, however, he became reclusive and distant, locking himself in his office, and later, his apartment.

He died in early July, 2013.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Carlos was a very optimistic and creative person, which was the reason why he joined Plus Ultra. As serious as he was about the future, he was known by those closest to him as a kid at heart. He enjoyed long walks with family members and watching the Sun rise.

He also loved the voice of his wife, and would drop what he was working on to listen to her. He was also a pack rat, which allowed his granddaughter, Amelia, to discover his connections with Plus Ultra through his personal effects.
