Mike Lazarus was an employee for the 1964 New York World's Fair as an operator for the ride It's A Small World in 1964.
When Frank Walker followed David Nix and his employees after when Athena gave him the Vintage Pin, Mike stopped everyone from coming into the ride in order to wait for more boats (not noticing that Frank had slipped past him).

- Mike Lazarus was portrayed by composer Michael Giacchino in Brad Bird's Tomorrowland, in a cameo appearance. According to director Brad Bird, it was Giacchino who came up with the character's name.
